PERSPECTIVES ARTIST at CARNEGIE HALL (New York)

Four artists were chosen as PERSPECTIVES ARTISTS by the prestigious Carnegie Hall for the season 2019-2020. For the 20th season of the PERSPECTIVES SERIES, the choices are the Conductor Sir John Eliot Gardiner; the Conductor Yannick Nézet-Séguin; the Mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato; and the singer Angélique Kidjo. This wonderful award will allow them to offer more concerts in Carnegie Hall and to share their most personal choices with the audiences. As a PERSPECTIVES ARTIST, Yannick will appear nine times next year, in this legendary venue, with three of his regular orchestras: the Philadelphia Orchestra (5 concerts), the New York MET Orchestra (2 concerts) and the Orchestre Métropolitain de Montréal (1 concert, the first one of this orchestra at Carnegie Hall). Four of the five concerts with the Philadelphia Orchestra will be devoted to the complete cycle of Beethoven's symphonies whose 250th anniversary will be celebrated in 2020. A host of renowned soloists will perform in their company, such as Anne-Sophie Mutter, Hélène Grimaud, Joyce DiDonato, Elza van den Heever, Rolando Villazon, Mihoko Fujimura, Blue Angel, Quinn Kelsey and the Westminster Choir. One of the concerts will allow the audience to hear Yannick play piano to accompany his dear friend Joyce DiDonato in a very personal interpretation of Schubert's masterpiece Winterreise.

Il est le chef d'orchestre que tout le monde rêve d'avoir en ce moment
