Yannick to conduct famous New Year's concert in Vienna in 2026
The Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra is pleased to announce that Yannick Nézet-Séguin will conduct the 2026 New Year’s Concert at the Musikverein in Vienna. The concert, which has a tradition dating back to 1939, has been conducted by the most famous conductors in the past; it will be broadcast to over 90 countries and watched by over 50 million spectators. Yannick Nézet-Séguin’s relationship with the Wiener Philharmoniker began in Salzburg in 2010 and has continued to grow since then. A concert tour in California, as well as concerts in Vienna, in Paris (Opéra Garnier) and Salzburg, are planned in the meantime. Tickets for this concert will go on sale by lottery in February.
