On the evening of Monday, September 28, 2026, the Denyce Graves Foundation held its Harvest Moon Gala, an annual event honoring outstanding artists and visionary leaders in the arts—celebrating the power of the arts to transform lives and remind us of our shared humanity. Last night’s gala paid special tribute to Yannick Nézet-Séguin, presenting him with the Game Changer Award and a trophy in recognition of his extraordinary career; indeed he has expanded the classical repertoire, championed previously overlooked composers, nurtured the next generation of artists, and demonstrated that music can inspire a more inclusive and compassionate world.
