On behalf of Her Excellency the Right Honourable Julie Payette, Governor General of Canada, we are pleased to invite you to join us for a virtual conversation between the Governor General and Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the Orchestre Métropolitain de Montréal, and Music Director of The Philadelphia Orchestra and The Metropolitan Opera of New York. The conversation will be live-streamed on YouTube on Wednesday, May 20, 2020, at 3 p.m. EDT (French) and 4 p.m. EDT (English).

These live virtual conversations are part of a series of dialogues between the Governor General and pre-eminent Canadians on diverse topics.

The conversations will be recorded and available to watch via the same links in the days following the event, in case you are not able to tune in live.

Do you have a question to ask? Should you have a question for the Governor General or her guest relating to this topic, we invite you to submit it by replying to this email. Please keep your question short and concise (e.g.: 100 words). We would also ask you to include your hometown in your message. A list of questions will be compiled and sent to the Governor General and Maestro Nézet-Séguin for their consideration as they prepare for the conversation.

You can also submit questions in the live chat on YouTube during the conversation, which the Governor General and Maestro Nézet-Séguin may answer. Please note that, depending on the volume of questions received, the Governor General and her guest may not be able to answer all questions during the live conversation.
