Yannick Nézet-Séguin at the Mostra Venice Film Festival

Yannick at the Venice Film Festival to represent the film Maestro

It was with great pride and emotion that Yannick went to the Mostra, the major Venice Film Festival, for the presentation of the film Maestro telling the story of the great American maestro Leonard Bernstein.

The film Maestro, co-produced by Bradley Cooper who also stars in it as Maestro Bernstein, also stars Cary Mulligan as the Grand Maestro's wife. The soundtrack was recorded in London by the London Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Yannick Nézet-Séguin. Yannick also acted as Musical Advisor to Bradley Cooper throughout the preparation and filming so that the conformity of the direction gestures as well as the emotions aroused by the music when conducted by Bernstein were respected as much as possible. The first presentation of the film in Venice was a huge success! The film will premiere on Netflix in the fall.
