The Complete Mahler Symphonies at Carnegie Hall in 2026-2027
Carnegie Hall has announced that Yannick will conduct the complete cycle of Mahler's nine symphonies there next season with three different orchestras: the Philadelphia Orchestra (1, 3, 5, 7); the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra (2, 4, 9); and the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra (6, 8). Among the world's finest soloists contributing to this cycle are Christiane Karg; Elīna Garanča; Karen Cargill; Angela Meade; Elsa van den Heever; Erin Morley; Ekaterina Gubanova; Russell Thomas; Will Liverman; and Ryan Speedo-Green. The Symphony of a Thousand (8), involving soloists and chorus in addition to numerous other musicians, will be performed three times. “Yannick Nézet-Séguin leads The MET Orchestra, The Philadelphia Orchestra, and the Vienna Philharmonic in one of music’s most iconic, innovative, and emotionally profound bodies of work!”
