Happy European tour to Yannick and his Orchestre Métropolitain (OM)!

Brussels (Bozar), Paris (Philharmonie), Vienna (Konzerthaus), Hamburg (Elbphilharmonie), and Baden-Baden (Festspielhaus) will welcome the OM for one concert (two in the case of Baden-Baden) during a European tour from June 23 to 29.

The musicians and their conductor are fully prepared, as the Montreal audience was delighted to note last Sunday at the Maison Symphonique in Montreal. Indeed, for its final concert of the season, the OM presented a large portion of its touring repertoire, including Ravel's La Valse, Tchaikovsky's La Pathétique, and Saint-Saëns’ Concerto No. 2 performed by virtuoso pianist Alexandre Kantorow, who will accompany them to each of the European cities. The program is rounded out by an indigenous work, As Long as the River Runs by Barbara Assiginaak.

This is OM's second European tour, the first having been a resounding success in 2017. It should be remembered that Yannick celebrated his 25th anniversary at the helm of the Orchestre Métropolitain this year, after making a lifelong commitment to them six years ago.
